Bicycle Thief

Just now in film theory class--

Dr. Anderson:  That's one of the classic moral dilemmas-- is poverty a justification for crime?  Is it okay to steal a loaf of bread if you're starving?
Me:  Hmm.  Jean Val-Jean.
Ashly:  Aladdin.
Me:  Touché.
