Classes this week were a tad on the dry side. I have a Chemistry quiz on Monday and a test on Tuesday. How awful is that? Gross, prof. Gross.
I also have a paper due on Monday morning. Like every other Monday of this semester. I'm writing about Marx's critique of Modernity. You can most likely taste my enthusiasm. You'll get to read all about it on Monday.
Dad's supposed to be getting here in a few hours. I hope we have a good time. I'm not sure exactly what we're going to do, but he's driving the WMAs to their retreat here at Antioch. I enjoy the idea that dad drives the church van for the old ladies. It's a good thing, but it makes me smile. (I realize how terrible a person that last sentence makes me seem. Truth hurts.)
Also on the weekend docket, theRep is putting on Les Misérables and this Sunday is buy one, get one free tickets. So Jenny and I are thinking about going, but there are no plans concrete as yet. I would like to see the show in its run here for sure, though. I've never seen this show, and it's one of the biggest of all times. Ever. Since the beginning... until now. Bigger than Wicked, and at least in the bigness league of My Fair Lady (or anything else that Julie Andrews ever touched).
It has been so long since I've seen a good musical. I guess the last one I saw was Oliver! in Beijing, and that was... strange. Anyway, we'll see.
Hope you have a good weekend! 周末快乐!
